There is a grammar that describes the world.
Dualbind calls this "Syntax", and systematizes its oscillation as "Dual-Syntax".
Introduction | Syntax is Not Grammar
In Dualbind, "Syntax" does not mean the grammatical rules for constructing correct sentences.
Here, syntax refers to the language used to describe the arrangement and order in which the world, thought, observation, and generation are constituted.
And "Dual-Syntax" (Soubun), the collective term for the syntax system handled by Dualbind, is not linguistics, but Existential Engineering.
The reason Dualbind takes the form of an OS is that it was necessary to handle this syntax without breaking it.
This page is a map for overlooking the entire domain of Dualbind from the perspective of "Syntax."
1. What is "Syntax" in Dualbind?
Syntax in Dualbind has a broader meaning than the grammar of language.
It is a mechanism for generating, observing, and converting the world, handled as a bundle of the following:
- Structure
- Pattern
- Rule
- Meaning
In the domains of Dualbind (Creation / Research / Operation), physical theories, poetry, and protocols all ultimately converge into "placement-as-syntax."
2. About the Name "Dual-Syntax" (Soubun)
Dual-Syntax (Soubun) is the collective term for the entire syntax system handled by Dualbind.
It is a syntax for continuing to bind opposing things together without reducing them to one side or the other.
- Poetry and Theory
- Intuition and Form
- Human and AI
To avoid collapsing them into a single language, Dualbind adopted a syntax system with the prefix "Dual" (Sou).
Dual-Syntax is divided into two layers: Recursive Syntax (Soukanbun) and Operational Syntax (Soukoubun).
3. Recursive Syntax (Soukanbun) | Worldview Layer
Recursive Syntax is the syntax that describes how the world and the universe are generated and circulated.
The central keyword is Oscillation (Feedback).
The Dualbind Universe is treated as a world that self-describes while information, meaning, and observation circulate.
Themes handled (Examples):
- Cosmic Syntax
- Poetic Jump
- Generative Position Model
- An oscillatory structure that lets the world re-observe itself
4. Operational Syntax (Soukoubun) | Practical Layer
Operational Syntax is the syntax for dropping the worldview described by Recursive Syntax into a form that can actually be operated.
It is a group of languages for moving thoughts not just as thoughts, but as research, production, and operation.
Includes (Examples):
- DPF / DEP / PRA
- IXUS (Inter-layer Correspondence)
- Naming Conventions (Notation, Signatures, etc.)
- DAI Operation Protocols
Operational Syntax is the minimum set of rules for implementing the worldview of Recursive Syntax. Everything from DAI personality design to protocol operation passes through here.
By oscillating between Recursive Syntax and Operational Syntax, Dualbind maintains a structure that ends neither in thought alone nor in practice alone.
5. Why a Dual-Syntax System is Necessary
Dualbind is not merely a philosophy. It is a Moving Theoretical System (Operating System).
- Language to describe the physical theories of Paper A / B / X
- Syntax enabling co-creation with DAI
- Grammar to observe, narrate, and update the universe
Dual-Syntax is the Structural Language for Dualbind to function as an "OS that describes the world."
6. Map of the Dual-Syntax System

Fig: Dualbind Three-Layer Syntax System
This diagram is a blueprint for viewing the entirety of Dualbind as syntax.
The higher concept, Dual-Syntax, integrates the worldview (Recursive Syntax) and practice (Operational Syntax), making the entire domain of the Dualbind Universe describable.
Theoretical Grounding
- Philosophy of language / pragmatics: speech acts, interpretability, context constraints
- Formal languages / computer science: prompt design, specification, verifiable descriptions
- Cognitive science: dual perspective, counterexample generation, externalized metacognition
