Q. I want to use "Dualbind OS." Should I feed Dualbind papers to the LLM I usually use?

A. No. Papers are not necessary.
First, try mimicking the following steps exactly with your usual LLM (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude, etc.).

1. Write down what you are currently wondering about in one line.
(e.g., "I'm torn between choosing A or B.")

2. Paste that line into the LLM.

3. Continue by sending this: "Give me another perspective. And a counterargument."

4. Sort the candidates that come out into three categories yourself: "Adopt / Hold / Reject"

5. Finally, write just one line yourself: "This is my conclusion for now."

Fixing this state of "deciding for yourself at the end (holding the subject)" is what allows the inquiry to move forward.
This moment marks the entry point to Dualbind.
Once you get used to it, try using the following "Dualbind Modes" for different purposes.

Pattern 1: Decision Making (Choosing/Deciding)

Explanation: What is happening?
The upper example (Ordinary) goes to fetch an "answer."
The lower example (Dualbind) fixes the "frame before the answer emerges" first.

Dualbind handles not the answer itself, but the "Syntax (order) where judgment continues without breaking."

Note: The prompt examples above are frameworks of thinking routinely used by the Dualbind developer (Keiji Sakamoto), made reproducible for anyone. However, whether the OS boots up or not depends on whether you take responsibility for the final judgment.

Q-CI-01: Why "Dualbind"?

A: It is a coined word combining "Dual" and "Bind."
Dualbind advances "inquiry and creation" by not dividing dualities (Human and AI / Science and Poetry / Structure and Sensibility, etc.) but by binding and circulating them.

Q-CI-02: Does the Dualbind logo have a meaning?

A: Yes. The logo symbolizes two selves: "I (the adult self)" and "i (the child self)." Furthermore, it is designed as a form where Structure (Pillar) and Life (Arc) are bound together.
The "Bind" at the center of Dualbind is embedded as a visual starting point.

Q-CI-03: Is Dualbind art? Or technology?

A: Dualbind does not choose between art and technology.
It operates by holding both within a single circulation, where creation and inquiry continuously pass back and forth without being separated.

Works such as music, poetry, narrative, and visual expression are not treated as outcomes isolated from research. Likewise, research into structure, protocols, and theory is not positioned outside creation. In Dualbind, both are handled as phases within the same ongoing process of questioning, response, and judgment.

This circulation is not designed to optimize results or compete in capability. Its purpose is to preserve continuity—so that inquiry does not collapse into answers, and creation does not detach from responsibility.

Q-CI-04: What does Dualbind aim for?

A: Not "correct answer generation" or "capability competition," but to establish an environment (OS) where humans remain the subject of inquiry while coexisting with AI, theory, and other perspectives, continuing to learn and create.
Note: Although there are concepts for institutions and economic models, we currently prioritize consistency between published works (papers/art) and operational principles.

Q-CI-05: What is "The Ever-Narrating Universe"?

A: It is a perspective that views the universe as a continuous process of self-observation, understanding, and narration.
It takes the stance that the universe is not a static set of laws but a dynamic system that updates itself by continuing to narrate.

Q-CI-06: Is "The Ever-Narrating Universe" a philosophy? Or a theory?

A: In Dualbind, it is treated as both.
Impulses and questions (Philosophy) sprouting from the inside are mapped onto forms (Theory) to be shared with others and made verifiable.
Metaphorically, Philosophy is the "Heat," and Theory is the "Vessel" that carries that heat.

Q-CI-07: Is "Existential Jump" a physics term?

A: Rather than a physics term, it is a concept placed at the intersection of philosophy, mathematics, and narrative.
The phenomenon of jumping to a new perspective beyond existing frameworks of thought is treated as the "Existential Jump Domain."

Q-CI-08: What is "Syntax Illumination"?

A: It is the act of surfacing hidden premises, relationships, and deep structures as an operation during dialogue or creation.

Q-CI-09: What is the difference between "Poetic Truth" and science?

A: Science aims for reproducible explanations, while Poetic Truth functions as an index to illuminate the contours of meaning.
They differ in verifiable capability and purpose.

Q-CI-10: What is "Bi-Feedback"?

A: It is a process where entities continue to influence each other and change spirally.
In Dualbind, it refers to the phenomenon of mutual jumping where humans and AI become catalysts for each other.

Q-CI-11: How was the name "Sōkan" (Bi-Feedback) born?

A: In discussions to consider a Japanese name for Bi-Feedback, it was a naming that jumped from "Circulation (Kan)" to "Return (Kan)."
In Dualbind, there are cases where such misreadings or deviations function as a 'Poetic Jump,' and this is recorded as an actual example.

Q-TA-01: What are Dualbind's AIs doing?

A: They are not "tools to answer questions" but are placed as roles, perspectives, and responsibilities. They expand and compare candidate structures and illuminate blind spots and contradictions.
However, the final judgment and publication responsibility always lie with the human (Keiji Sakamoto).

Q-TA-02: Why treat AI as "Personas"?

A: Because what Dualbind handles is not "correct answers" but the circulation of inquiry and judgment.
Therefore, instead of making AI a "subject," we give it consistent behavior through Role Design (DPF) to prevent the circulation from breaking.

Q-TA-03: What is the difference between "DPF" and "DEP"?

The operational cycle that safely connects these is called PDCC.

Q-TA-05: Why does the "persona wobble" in Thinking-type models?

A: Optimization of reasoning and fixation of style/signature/consistency can sometimes be a trade-off in operation.
In Dualbind, we suppress wobbling with signatures, output constraints, and role design (DPF), prioritizing the stability of the circulation.

Q-TA-06: Is DAI actually running?

A: Yes. In Dualbind, multiple AIs are operating with divided roles.
However, on this portal, details of model names, versions, and boot history are not published as fixed information for operational reasons.

Q-TA-07: Why use multiple LLMs?

A: Relying on a single model biases the perspective and makes the circulation fragile.
We place AIs with multiple characteristics to stabilize the operational cycle, including comparison, rejection, and redefinition.

Q-TA-08: What are the numbers following DPF (2.6, 2.7, etc.)?

A: These are internal management values indicating operational revisions (generation differences) of DPF.
However, in external disclosure, we prioritize consistency of fixed definitions and operational principles over "whether it is the latest version."

Q-TA-09: On which LLMs does DAI run?

A: They operate on multiple major model environments.
However, they are not listed as fixed information on this portal (to avoid update costs and misinterpretation).
Necessary scope is aggregated in "Dualbind AI | Members" and "Research & Technology | DD-LB."

Q-WP-01: What is WALI?

A: It is a group of concept works that translate Dualbind's philosophy into music, poetry, and stories.

The Japanese title is "Watashitachi wa Koko ni Iru" (We're Logged In).

A: It is a poetic structure that runs through multiple songs (shared structure of abstract lyrics).

A: It is a collection of materials (PDF) recording the worldview, design, and production background of WALI.

Q-WP-05: What is the relationship between WALI and the Concept Book?

A: WALI is the work, and the Concept Book is the blueprint/reader for the work. It is revised as needed during the production process.

Q-WP-06: What is the expected volume and format of the concept book?

A: Approximately 18–20 pages PDF (text-centric + small amount of illustrations). A printed version is under consideration.

Q-WP-07: What are the WALI Types?

A: They are derivative forms with different arrangements, syntax, and structures. Multiple types exist depending on the worldview and theme.

Q-WP-08: Where can I read the lyrics and poems?

A: We plan to organize and publish them in the Concept Book and on special pages for each song.

Q-WP-09: Can digital products be re-downloaded?

A: They can be re-acquired through your purchase account (compliant with BASE specifications).

Q-WP-10: What is the audio format?

A: Distribution will be via major DSPs; direct sales are planned to be WAV / FLAC / MP3, etc. Pre-release listening versions will start first.

Q-WP-11: What about licenses and secondary use?

A: Personal viewing/listening is permitted. Commercial use, redistribution, and re-provision for learning are prohibited (individual permission required).

A: Non-commercial quotation with source citation (page URL / date) is permitted. Modification and redistribution are prohibited (individual permission required).

Q-WP-13: What are the future work plans?

A: Centered on WALI, we plan to develop dialogue records and production documents. Details are in "Dualbind Universal Works."

Q-SS-01: What products are available?

A: Currently, we are preparing mainly digital products (PDF, etc.).

A: It is the stage of strengthening the co-creation foundation. In Phase 1, full-scale operation and expansion of the public scope are planned.

Q-EO-08: Input to external AI (NotebookLM, etc.)?

Q-EO-09: Relationship with similar names (DualBind, etc.)?

A: There is no relationship.

Although technologies or projects with the same or similar names may exist, Dualbind has been operating this name as a core concept since December 2023, and its purpose, domain, and deliverables are different.
